The Instant Shade Tree & Plant Center has been family owned and operated since 1980. Instant Shade, Inc. opened the garden center in 2007 as a retail extension of Kokopelli Wholesale Nursery. The Instant Shade Tree and Plant Center is conveniently located on K-7 Highway and Prairie Star Parkway (formerly 95th Street) in western Lenexa. With 26 acres total and 18 acres devoted to trees alone, we are one of the largest garden centers in the Kansas City area. We pride ourselves on having the highest quality stock from the best local and national growers available. All sizes of plants are available from flats of annuals to 4.5" caliper trees. Looking for something bigger? Instant Shade is one of the few companies with 90" tree spades capable of transplanting trees up to 35' tall! River rock, edging, topsoil, mulch, compost, pottery, statuary, fountains and many other garden items are on hand to complete your outdoor living space. With landscape, design, tree planting and delivery services available, Instant Shade takes pride in helping all customers working on ANY budget.
